This Victorian terraced property sits at the mid point of a terrace row, and whilst fairly generous in proportions, ceiling height and window sizes, the original configuration was completely unmodernised, inefficient and didn’t engage with the garden.
The renovation involved a complete reimagining of the the ground floor configuration, and an extension to the side and rear of the original outrigger. The result is a ground floor offering a distinct formal sitting room to the front with restored classical features, a utility room, WC
and storage provision at the middle, and a large open plan area to the rear housing the kitchen, dining area and additional sitting space by the patio doors - every square inch is truly working as hard as possible!
The unique expression of a dark engineering brick and exposed internal steel and timber structure results in a beautiful extension, and exciting open plan space with a huge wow factor. It’s a truly wonderful transformation and we couldn’t be more proud of the result.
