BetterPad were tasked with maximising the potential of a run down basement flat on Ladbroke Grove. The existing property was very uninspiring, and had major damp problems.
There was no opportunity to extend the property, and we were asked to avoid major structural work, limiting the amount of overall reconfiguration possible given that most existing walls turned out to be structural!
However a number of key design interventions leads to a much more practical and efficient use of space.
We created a new kitchen, bathroom, bespoke joinery, and generally upgraded the finishes and lighting throughout which hugely elevates the quality of space, and Crittall doors to the hallway and patio not only maximise daylighting, but are a wonderful feature in themselves.
